Project fREADom Lab

Project Freadom Blog

Project fREADom Lab was launched in Dec 2019 with an aim to build awareness and gift the joy of reading together – as a community, as a school and as a family.

Purpose of the Project

  1. Empower parents, build and sustain a reading culture.
  2. Equip teachers with reading resources.
  3. help young children build the skill and will to read.
  4. Ensure children see the value in reading from the view of teachers, parents and peers.

By the end of 2020, more than 3000 schools applied for the membership. Of these, 1000+ schools were selected into the club on the basis of their commitment towards promoting reading. Students of all the selected schools received a premium membership for the fREADom app for a year, free of charge.

Our member schools clocked a total of 12,780,428 minutes on the fREADom app. The below pie graph shows the distribution of that time on the basis of where the children spent time on their favourite reading app.

Apart from reading stories, curated news articles, and fun reading activities, more than 500 children from our member schools participated in the monthly reading challenges.
