Hi friends, today I’m going to talk about festivals.

Festivals are celebrated all over the world with their own customs and traditions. India being a vast country that has a large population and numerous festivals.

We Indians celebrate each and every festival with great enthusiasm and joy. One such festival which is celebrated in the month of Kartik (October-November) is Diwali, which is my favourite. festival.

It is the most popular festival in the country. It is the festival of light. It is the day of Amavasya (no-moon) ,the 15th day of the month. People light earthen lamps in their homes and burst crackers.

According to the Hindu Mythology, Lord Rama along with Sita and Lakshmana returned to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana.

This day is also for worshiping lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.

The houses are cleaned and decorated. Rangolis are made in front of the houses Different sweets are made. The whole country gets illuminated.

So, thats how we celebrate Diwali. Thank you.

Please comment and tell me which is your favourite festival.
