The Vande Bharat Express

My bag was packed, I was ready to go on an adventure on a bike in the lap of the Himalayas. I am going to go see the entire Sikkim! We left for the airport on the fastest train, the Vande Bharat Express. I was ready for my 12 days of thrill filled vacation.

The Red Panda

It’s a beautiful sight. On the first day we saw the state animal, the red panda. I love history so we went to see temples, monasteries. Some were so high up on the mountains that we had to leave our bikes and go hiking. Here we saw some Shishi, the lion of Buddha and holy prayer flags. Not to forget the beauty of nature, I saw hot springs and the Teesta river meeting with the Rangpo river.

Gurdongmar Lake

Best of all, I saw Gurdongmar Lake present all the way up at 17,800 ft. high. Lastly, how can I leave out zero points and the amazing Indo-China border.

After a long drive along the mountains we reached the airport and said goodbye to Sikkim. It was a trip like no other with a lifetime of memories.
