Chikmagalur is a hill station in Karnataka. It is 236 km away from Bangalore. I visited Chikmagalur with my parents and cousins last October. We started at 4 AM by car and had breakfast on our way near Channarayapatna.
After we arrived, we visited the famous historical Belur temple. I saw a tortoise in a pond inside the temple premises. We then went to our homestay and had a nice lunch.
The next day we went to the highest peak in Karnataka – Mullayanagiri. While travelling to Mullayanagiri we saw big coffee estates. We went uphill by car for some distance and later we climbed by steps to the hilltop. There was beautiful scenery around us, it was surrounded by clouds. I felt clouds moving around us, it was so dreamy.
We then returned to our homestay, packed our bags and left for home. It was a wonderful trip and I didn’t want to leave. I wish to visit Chikmagalur soon.
