Description
Aditi really wants a sibling. She asks her parents for one. While her mother smiles, her father resolves the situation with a clever deflection – he asks Aditi to get a dog first. Aditi doesn’t think much of the task and gets a dog.
After a few months, she goes back to her parents and asks for a sibling, again. This time, Aditi’s father asks her to get a goat. And then an elephant. Does Aditi rise to the occasion?
This book is written in simple sentences and easy language. It is perfect for storytelling and lends to great actions and sounds. Our favorite activity is to recreate the sound of Aditi’s zoo with a group of children! Try adding a few more animals to it yourself. š
If your child is thinking about a sibling, then this book is perfect! Whether or not you plan for a second child, this book will spark a discussion about siblings with the little one – the joy, and the hard work associated with siblings.
Hidden Gems: Look out for Aditi’s mother’s bump at the bottom of each page and track the months that have passed!
Trivia: This is Ms Moochie’s first book! And the author’s first book. And the illustrator’s first book. That’s a lot of firsts!
